The Elder Grove Collective began as a seed of an idea—a dream to build something beautiful, rooted in the land, and nourished by a community of makers, herbalists, growers, and creatives. Inspired by the wisdom of folk traditions and the resilience of women-led businesses, we imagined a space where local talent could shine, stories could be shared, and every offering told a tale of care, craft, and connection.
Founded by Melany (Miss Mell), a dedicated herbalist and creative entrepreneur, The Elder Grove is a reflection of her lifelong passion for plants, handmade goods, and empowering others through community-building. From her work with Miss Mell’s Magick Mixes to her hands-on involvement in local markets and artisan networks, Melany has always believed in the magic of working together.
We started The Elder Grove Collective because we saw a gap—and an opportunity. In rural areas, talented creators, herbalists, and small-scale producers often face barriers: limited access to markets, fewer networking opportunities, and not enough support tailored to their realities. At the same time, we saw a hunger for meaningful, handmade goods and authentic, local connection.
We believe rural communities deserve just as much vibrancy, creativity, and visibility as the big cities—and we’re here to help make that happen. Whether it’s a hand-thrown mug, a jar of infused oil, a block of beeswax, soap, or a zine written by a local poet, we want to create a space where these offerings are celebrated and shared.
We believe in the power of women-led business—in moms, witches, farmers, artists, and makers who are building something beautiful from scratch, often while juggling ten other things. We believe in accessibility over gatekeeping, collaboration over competition, and building an ecosystem that thrives on mutual support.
When we lift each other up, we grow stronger, more rooted, and more resilient—together.
The Elder Grove Collective is more than a business. It’s a movement, a gathering space, and a living network of creators and dreamers. It’s about coming home to what matters: community, purpose, and the joy of growing something meaningful from the ground up.
